Un-Politically Correct - It is about time!

We live in a society where we are a afraid to offend, and need to be P.C. to ease the blows....It is time to go back to basics, say it like it is...straight forward, direct... and if your offended, then "YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH"...

I Pay For 90 Year Old, Sex Offender's To Get Their Rocks Off

....... and I am so happy to know that we are paying for seniors and child molesters to get their rocks off.....
UNBELIEVABLE!

Why is Medicaid paying for Viagra for child molesters, or for that matter for anyone?

Am I missing something? The main argument that I have heard is that it is "medically necessary" in cases other than impotence. If that is the reason, I can understand that -- I mean birth control is covered, and I know that birth control is often prescribed for a variety of conditions.

So I researched, since I have a problem when this is covered by insurance if the only reason needed is for someone to have a hard on!!!!! -- I don't believe I should pay for my own sex, let alone anyone else.....

According to PDR -- Physicians Desk Reference

INDICATION AND USAGE
VIAGRA is indicated for the treatment of erectile dysfunction.
VIAGRA ® , an oral therapy for
erectile dysfunction, is the citrate salt of sildenafil, a selective inhibitor of cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP)-specific phosphodiesterase type 5(PDE5). The physiologic mechanism of erection of the penis involves release of nitric oxide (NO) in the corpus cavernosum during sexual stimulation. NO then activates the enzyme guanylate cyclase, which results in increased levels of
cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP), producing smooth muscle relaxation in the corpus cavernosum and allowing inflow of blood. Sildenafil has no direct relaxant effect on isolated human corpus cavernosum, but enhances the effect of nitric oxide (NO) by inhibiting phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5), which is responsible for degradation of cGMP in the corpus cavernosum. When sexual stimulation causes local release of NO, inhibition of PDE5 by sildenafil causes increased levels of cGMP in the corpus cavernosum, resulting in smooth muscle
relaxation and inflow of blood to the corpus cavernosum. Sildenafil at recommended doses has no effect in the absence of sexual stimulation.
Looks like that was an invalid reason, also look at the possible side effects that this unnecessary medication are.....
